I have a maid. She has been working with me for the past 3 years. Started working when I was 8 mths pregnant. Going to be 3 yeras this Feb. She is 40 y.o this year. Much2 older than I am. I call her kakak, she calls me cuna (like evryone else in the family). Initially she wanted to call me "Ibu".. i was like.. oh noooo...puhlezzzzz... ibu is for my mother...not me!
anyway... overall she is okay. Workwise- almost perfect. House is clean. Cooking is best!! Balqis is well taken care of.. what else? clothing all okay. the only thing that is lacking is her attitude. She is a bit rude. Not rude...more like she speaks loudly..and harshly..ntah betul ke dak grammar aku...hantam jer la labuuuu....
example...if I ask her.." kak..mana botol balqis?"the kindda reply I'm expecting is " kat dapur"
but her reply would be " ITUUUU...ADA KAT SITUUUU..MANA ADA AMBIKKKK....."
aduiiii....kalau everyday listening to this kindda volume...irritating woooo. But wat to do.. told her already about this. She said her volume is like that one...kenot change.
Lately we had a crisis. She wanted to go back to indon in march together with kak ani's maid. i told her "kenot, coz if you go back with kak seri, who's gonna take care of balqis? " i asked her to compromise, go back earlier, maybe in dec. she said no money. i asked her to go back in june, she said kenot, her brother getting married in april.
pulak dahhh!!!! first no money, then brother getting married??? sure or not? my blood already going up. i discussed with my parents. we decided, if she still dowan to compromise, we'll get another maid.
so last few nites we discussed with her. asked her to decide, if u still wanna work u go back in june. else we will take other maid. but of course, in a very polite way la...and in a way that she feels appreciated. takut jugak later she do something bad to balqis ke...mampuih...
the next day, she told me she will go back in june...heheh..she still wants to work here.. yeayyy!!
mission completed!!!
any way...it's a win win situation for me. if want to get other maid, problem jugak. dunno how the work, dunno if she can take care of balqis, dunno the attitude. current maid. work ok. attitude rude a bit, but i know she is a nice person and kind hearted. never tinggal sembahyang - most importantly!
now in the process of renewing her permit for the next year. Hope she will work with me as long as possible!
Sori la kak ye..tahun ni tak de increment..economic krisis...hehe.. Insya Allah next year ada.

Don't worry konot at this stage memang gituh sebab dia rasa attach. Nanti org kata sad ni macam dah biasa ada anak plak bukan I have niece yg dijaga dari kecik sampai beso oleh my mother, my sister also has the same feeling as you tapi once the baby growing in term of age she will start develop bonding balik with her mother hah lepas tu melekat dengan mak dia 24 jam so don't worry la konot. heheheh
