Kenapa aku menyampah nak jumpa GP

GP = General Practitioner aka dokter kat klinik biasa.

Kejadian 1

Berlaku in August 08. Sofeya was abt 1.5 mths old. Coughing badly. Sebab nak avoid jumpa GP, brought her to SJMC (ambik nkoo.. mmg aku mention nama spital / dokter seketul2.. tak de nak kaver2 dah!). Since it was Sunday, specialist clinic tutup, so MO (medical officer) kat A&E jer yg treated her. Gave her cough syrup biasa.. and told us nothing to worry.

Budak tu tak sampai 2 bulan okeh.. ko senang2 kasik cough syrup.

Sebab tak yakin.. esoknyer aku pegi paediatrician kat USJ (Dr Chye).. or was it the same night? ntah.. cant remember.

Dr Chye tgk jer syrup yg SJMC kasik.. "u kenot give this to baby! too strong..!"

Aku rasa cam nak hentak jer dokter kat SJMC tu tau. We were so close of taking legal action masa tuh. Tapi sebab the damage not so bad, lupakan jer la...

Aku tak ingat sgt details.. but i think prior to SJMC, we went to GP dulu.. but resultnyer sama jugak sakit hati...

Anyway dipendekkan cerita.. end up sofeya was admitted to Ampang Puteri due to broncholitis..

Kejadian 2

Semalam Sofeya suddenly naik ruam satu badan. Then mulut cam ader ulcer, tanak makan or minum susu and constantly crying. As much as i dont want to see GP, but since it is Sunday, and aku tanak tunggu till Monday, aku bawak ler jugak pegi GP.

Clinic tak der org  langsung. Klinik Seri Melawati okeh..

Masuk jer bilik, dokter Vimala (yes.. nama sebenar) takde greet, tak de senyum langsung.

Aku tunjuk  rashes sofeya and told her wats wrong.

Dia tengok kaki Sofeya for 2 seconds (okehh.. 5 seconds la..) then tengok badan sofeya for another 5 seconds... pas tu terus cakap "CAMPAK"

Pas tu.. terus tulis apakebendatah atas kertas.. pas tu cakap.. "OK.. ambik ubat"

sorry but i feel like cursing today.

BANGANG KE HAPER LA KAN????

Macam mana nko buleh graduate pun aku tatau.

Aku mmg tak yakin langsung dgn dia punya diagnosis. Aku yang tak study medicine pun mcm yakin yg tu bukan campak. Ye aku mmg pandai....

So pagi ni.. aku pegi la jugak Naluri, jumpa our feveret paed Dr Khairul. Bawak balik anak2 aku pegi check.

U see.. balqis dah develop fever since Rabu. Rabu mlm dah bawak jumpa Dr Khairul. Then Friday dia develop ulcer penuh satu mulut. Saturday since demam kat kebah2. we brought balqis to the GP (Dr Vimala jugak) just nak ambik ubat demam. That time Dr Vimala tak de cakap apa2 pun.. suruh habiskan antibiotik and sapu ubat ulcer.

Then semlm adiknyer pulak jadi camtu (rashes + ulcer)

So, Dr Khairul pun check, and he confirmed that budak2 ni dah kena HAND FOOT & MOUTH disease. So he gave approriate anti virus treatment. Should be better in 5 days time (less for balqis).

grrrrrrrrrrr.......

Mcm mana ko buleh diagnose as campak?

Aku campak ko kat luar klinik tu mau?

Sabo konot sabo....

Anyway... apart from the diagnosis.. aku suka jumpa specialist ni sbb the kindda treatment that we get. Mmg la mahal sket the consultation fees, but berbaloi la.. ko masuk clinic GP, aku rasa tak sampai 3 minit kot. ko cakap ko batuk, demam, selsema.. then dia pun kasik ubat batuk, demam, selsema. kalau tak kebah by 3 days then dia kasik antibiotics.

see told ya aku mmg pandai.. aku buleh jadi GP okeh? ye aku mmg berlagak..muahahhaha

kalau jumpa specialist (paed la in this case) at least pun 10-15 minit dia akan spend time dgn ko.. tanya thoroughly symptom, makan apa, kencing berak last skali bila, duduk dgn sapa..etc. then dia akan carik root cause of the sakit.. bukan takat bagi ubat utk treat the symptom...

PAHAM???

dulu aku pernah bawak balqis jumpa paed sbb selsema.. and dia did not even kasik any syrup.. cuma kasik ubat titik hidung jer.. sebab dia kata kecik2 toksah kasik syrup byk2.. klu tak baik in few days then dtg check lagi kot2 asthma ke broncholitis ke...

sebab tu aku sampai skang mmg payah nak telan ubat. selsema ke demam ke.. selagi buleh aku tahan. pain killer utk migraine jer aku kecualikan pasal aku kenot tahan the pain. tu mmg teman sejati aku.. heheh

sapa keje MOH tolong suruh GP ni pegi kursus PR sikit...
