Che' Puan Konot: Balqis’s Birthday Bash

So, seperti yang telah di janjikan sejak tahun lepas, tahun ni punya birthday party aku akan buat best2 utk dia. Provided, Balqis kena study hard and janji tak akan turun kelas. Maka pulun la Balqis study last year, alhamdulillah masih maintain kelas.

Planning for the part dah start 1-2 mths back.

We (aku and Balqis) are well, technically the party planner lah.

Every night kalau ada masa we will sit together and plan for the party. We even have a book to jot down all out thoughts, every single item yang penting like guest list, menu, itenary, games, etc

Tips:

Having the planner book really helps! And get your child involved in the planning. Its her party anyway!

Called few people and mintak tolong siap2, siapa nak jaga games, siapa nak tolong decorate rumah, siapa nak jadi photographer etc.

No, mr p skang dah resign ambik2 gambar ni. Title jek masih mr p.. hahha

Tips:

DO NOT totally depen on people when mintak tolong. Dah nama mintak tolong, so kalau orang tak tolong then you kenot say anything. Have a backup plan. Like decorate rumah on your own or charge your own camera! Or simple HIRE people to do it for you! Money CAN buy everything. (almost lah)

Kek aku dah order awal2 from my ofismate si ovencomel ni. Skang ni bebudak tak main dah barbie ke princess ke.. nak kek angry bird hokey! Nasib baik lyein mansor ni tangan berseni (unlike mine! Hmpphh!) so kau kasik je design apa kau nak, Insya Allah she can deliver. I ordered one angry bird cake and mini cupcakes.

Tips:

Pegi order kek kat dia skang. Miahahha.. Iklan tak berbayar hokey. But seriously, I really love her cakes. The taste just perfect to my liking! And paling penting harga reasonable! Saya shuker! Design cantik Masya Allah. Semua yang dtg party aku tu terpegun kejaps tengok cake and cuppies.

Menu for the day :

1. Nasi lemak+ ayam goreng rempah home made

2. Roti jala cengkih melawati made

3. Karipap home made

4. Tembikai pasar tadi made

5. Air sirap yours truly made..keh keh..

6. Ice cream corner complete dgn topping

7. Chocolates and candy corner

Around 1++ my in laws family dtg.

Oh ye, dlm invitation card balqis tu, aku dah tulis siap2 suruh RSVP kalau nak dtg. Senang la nak bajet brapa org kan..

Tunggu punya tunggu tak de soranggg pun parents yg call / sms haku.

Panik la jugak. Buat party kang tak de org dtg, sungguh tak best.

Then pagi sabtu tu, baru la berduyun2 parents call and sms confirming attendance. Pheww.. lega!

At around 2, the first guest datang. Later, sorang2 dtg sampai la dlm 10-11 org mcm tu. While waiting ramai sikit sampai, Balqis melayan kawan2 nya makan dulu.

Dekat2 kol 3 mcm tu baru potong kek and nyanyi birthday. Nyanyi pun ada 2 version ok, lepas HAPPY BIRTHDAY BALQIS kena ulang balik nyanyi HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOFEYA! Hahah..

Lepas potong kek and makan2 a bit, games pun bermula!!

We had :

1. Musical chair

2. Kotak beracun

3. Menari atas suratkabar

4. Quiz and watergun!

It was FUN!!!

Well I think the kids had fun lah! Lepas satu game break kejap, makan2, then sambung lagik. Dlm invitation card, aku dah mention siap2 suruh bawak baju spare sbb nak main watergun.

All the activities (makan, games) bedebuk bedebak mmg ngam2 sampai kol 5 habis. In fact lepas main watergun tu, bebudak salin2 baju, sambil2 bukak hadiah tu dah ada few parents yang dtg ambik anak2 dah.

Tips:

Have an ITENARY! Even tho tak follow sgt 100%, tapi ada guidance and boleh agak2 brapa lama each activity will take. Tak de la terlebih masa or tak de la bebudak boring tak de apa nak buat.

So, there.. my very first self-organized-kids-birthday party!

Was so tired by end of the day, tapi puas hati sgt bila tengok the birthday girl had so much fun!

Actually masa ambik gambar ni bukan candid. Tapi aku suruh adik ipar aku ambik "eh cepat2 ambik konon2 akak tgh sibuk!" Pas tu aku pose mcm tu. Poyo tak? ngahahhahaha!
